If you want a place to sleep at night and nothing more, then this place is perfect. This hotel lacks Wi-Fi, a fitness center, a large pool, etc. Have fun figuring out how to use the elevators, too.

The hotel is average. Don't expect to dive and swim at the pool because you will be disappointed. Be prepared to pay $20/day for a parking space as big as a box of matches. The view to the city was good and location was convenient.

  • Decent hotel for the price

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, there's an IHOP next to the lobby. Shopping strip is one block away, beach is in walkable distance. The elevators are slightly confusing when it comes to parking and the one in the wing around the corner has a mission to kill. Don't use that one. Other than that, decent hotel room for what you pay. Small but cozy; comfy beds, nice tv. You barely spend time there anyway cuz you're in HAWAII! P.S.-- Great flush and great shower head for people who are particular about those things. Enjoy your stay! :)

  • The space was larger than I expected.

The rooms were clean and maintained. There was a small refrigerator and kitchenette sink which would have been convenient if my stay had been longer. My biggest disappointment was the noise from the street and obviously I can't blame the hotel for that. My room was low enough to hear lots of voices in the wee hours of the morning. And yes, my windows were closed.

  • Great value compared to other hotels in Waikiki

The rooms were small but nice, and they included a refrigerator, coffee maker, high speed internet, and a very small lanai. There is a self-serve coin laundry facility. The service was good, and there is a very helpful and friendly staff. Wifi is available in the lobby and the hotel is adjacent to an Ihop restaurant. Parking is available on the premises at a daily rate. Because the hotel is centrally located, the beach, International Marketplace, shopping and many Waikiki attractions are within a radius of about 3 to 4 blocks. Since the Malia is so popular cost-wise, book the hotel in advance to insure a vacancy.
