At first I was disappointed. The room could have been any hotel and I was expecting so much more from the Ritz. (I actually thought it would have been nicer at Embassy Suites.) There was no radio, no music stations and very few TV stations, the room was small as was the bath. The next morning I kindly told the concierge I was disappointed, though really couldn't complain because it was nice--just not what this Cinderella had dreamed of as The Ritz. They were more than responsive: immediately took us by chaffeur to our lunch, offered a complimentary breakfast for the following morning, and said they would share my comments with the manager. Shortly thereafter I received a phone call from the manager and was informed we were being moved to a suite. Upon arrival I found the new room to be all I had expected.....they even had music playing already. Given this level of attention I decided to definitely try the restaurant (I don't usually eat at hotels) and I am so glad I did! The food was pricey but exceptional. Make sure and ask for Jeremy the omelet chef! All in all I would recommend this hotel, just know what you want before assuming it's what you think it will be.

If you want to be treated like royalty, particularly on the 24th floor Concierge Level, stay at the Ritz Carlton Atlanta. My husband and I spent a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday there and couldn't have asked for more. Room was luxurious and comfy, staff was knowledgeable, gracious and very attentive and the whole experience was well worth the price we paid. We asked for an extra chair and ottoman in our room, instead of one of us having to sit at the desk or on the bed, and got it instantly. The Grill room on the second floor is top-notch. Amenities include Wi-Fi and two, count them, two, great-sounding iPod docks as well as a large flat-screen TV. The hotel has just been totally renovated and the only thing they're still working on is the lobby, which they say will be finished before Christmas. We'd do this again in a heartbeat and can't wait to see more of Atlanta soon.

I would never had even considered staying at this hotel while away on business, bad form in this economy, but when I coupled my plane ticket with this hotel through the website it came back cheaper than the bosses hotel across the street. The Service surpassed even my expectaions. The Room was spacious and everthing was plush and top notch. Took advantge of the numerious newspapers and nightly shoe shine - ALL INCLUDED. I will be back!!!

The hotel is beautiful, but the proximity to depressed areas is apparent. The hotel's restaurant--The Atlanta Grill--is excellent, although more than moderately priced. We stayed on the 20th Floor and had a great view of Downtown Atlanta. I would stay here again! The staff is very polite and professional.

My family and I stayed here for one night after making a trip to see the Georgia aquarium. We booked through Travelodge today which did not allow us to specify the number of beds in the room. The hotel staff gladly and quickly accommodated the request for to double beds instead of the Keenan in which we were booked. The room was clean and but somewhat smaller than those in other Ritz Carlton hotels. Our request for extra towels wasn't not fulfilled until the next morning. The included free breakfast was a nice touch for the package that we booked, but the buffet was only average and in the service was poor. Given that we had stayed there had a significantly discounted rate I was satisfied with the experience but would have been disappointed if we had pay full price.
