The staff was excellent. I needed a ride to the Las Vegas strip on new years eve and had been waiting for a cab for over an hour. The manager asked the owner for help and he gave me a ride in his personal vehicle. That's customer care. My one and only complaint was that there was no refrigerator in the room otherwise a clean updated and comfortable room.

My room was a pleasant place to stay. The staff were quite helpful in directing me to local restaurants and such. I particularly appreciated that something came up and I did not need to leave until evening of the last day, and they let me stay in my room until 6:00 pm (checkout was noon) without an extra charge.

The amenities said a casino was in the hotel - no there wasn't - only 2 poker video game chairs. Hotel staff and their families were drunk and loud lounging by the pool. My kids did not get to swim - a disappointment because it had been promised. The bed was lumpy and soft - not a good rest. Restaurant was good but pricey and only choice close. Hotel location is at least 4 blocks away from Fremont activity. Hotel surroundings had homeless sleeping or walking, vacant lots and buildings. I was TOTALLY disappointed and would have requested a refund or canceled upon arrival but I was forced to prepay with on line promo price. All I can say is: Never Again!

The review that mentioned the sketchy neighborhood was right: It backs up to the homeless district. It wasn't an awful place to stay, but there was nothing particularly good about it. Even though we were in a non-smoking wing, people were smoking in the breezeway and it hung in the air. The room was basically clean, but not really. Lots of noise all night long from people walking down the breezeway (it's Vegas). If I had seen the place first, we wouldn't have checked in there. There is a restaurant on the property, which we didn't try, but NOTHING else is within walking distance.
