Positives: The staff was quite friendly and the actual room was not as bad as some reviews lead you to believe. It is small but so are most hotel rooms in SF. The room is not large but provides plenty enough room, the same goes for the bathroom. The hotel is centrally located enough that you can get to almost anywhere by foot or cab relatively quickly. NEGATIVE: The negative and it is a big one is that the hotel cleanup staff came into our hotel room twice without proper notice. Both times they walked in with a single knock, and a third time they knocked on our door and attempted open it with the privacy please sign up, luckily our door was locked at this time. I find this absolutely ludicrous that hotel staff would just walk in like that. I would never stay here again just because of this.

Internet was expensive; I thought most hotels provided free internet these days? Only issue we had was the cleaning service cleaned our room even when we placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door but not a huge issue. I liked the on-site gym.

The challenge was the room: Small is an understatement, it is a bed with 2 small dinning chairs that you skinny by if you are sleeping on the window side. Maybe 11 x 11(? - not exaggerating) and a very small bath area. There is no where to simply sit back and read unless you want to sit in bed? The other issue, and a big one: was the room HVAC. Five nights, and only one with air-conditioning. The thermostat kept resetting to 82 degrees when I would lower it to 70 but it would not come back on. Coming back to a hot room after walking back from the convention center, or waking up each morning was no fun. The Engineering Tech was nice enough, but replaced the thermostat 2x, reset the compressor breaker 2 times. Stay away from Club Level Room 423. This one is just strange from a Security view: The fire escape window was just outside of my room; upon coming home it was fully pulled up (window wide open) allowing anyone to come and go. I called the desk at 5:30pm and asked why it was still open; the desk staff stated it was open for normal service needs. When I came back from dinner at 9:30pm; the window was still wide open; I closed and locked the window. Strange enough though, was entering my room; it was back at 82 degrees... but I could not open the room windows to cool it down, they were permanently locked down.
