Nice place, across th e street from the Madison Square Garden, blocks away from Macy's, theaters and so many things that make you plan to return to this amazing city. The hotel is nice, clean, friendly people. The only complaint is the odor of the carpets and the corridors (smell oldie) and the elevators look from beginning of the past century (and they are).

This hotel is nothing like the photos! I would never stay here again. The rooms are dated - the furniture was thread bare and the wallpaper stained. Needs some major love. It is very loud and not a nice location. There was no-one available to valet my car and then I recieved grief at checkout from the staff for parking it myself. I do not recommend this hotel!

Location great, front desk service great, room size lay out differnt than pictured but nice and roomy. The kitchen was very nice and clean, maid service very good and nice. Hotel lobby very pretty. The dissapointment was that the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling and had a little mildew, the towel rack was not on the wall ( there were empty screw holes in the wall) and the bathroom floor needed a little bleach in the corners also, there were some small carpet stains. Even with that I would consider saying there again.

The hotel room was exceptionally large based on NYC hotel standards. Our only problem was the noise--sirens all night long. We discovered that the hotel is right next to a fire station and a police station, which explained the constant sirens. We were on the 8th floor. Perhaps it wouldn't be an issue if staying on one of the much higher floors. Location is right across from subway station and several nice restaurants (and Starbucks) very close by.
