This is the second time I've stayed at the Affinia 50 and I was not disappointed. The room was spotless, the bed unbelievably comfortable, and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. I like this location - close to everything.

We needed hotel for a quick trip to NYC for medical reasons. The hotel/room was very clean. The hotel is smoke free so we never risked getting a smoking room. no stale smell, no air freshener. Yeah!. The desk staff was nice & friendly. Check in/out was speedy. The gym is small as expected but has nice gym quality equipment and a tv. The lobby small but contemporary stylish, non traditional. 2nd floor has a nice free lounge, more like a family room to meet with family/friends with fireplace, books, games, and tv. nice setup. The room was basic but clean. bathroom was very clean and basic except for stylish sink/cabinet. Shower pressure was decent and can control temp. Bed was pillow top, super comfy!!!. Pillows were so-so but you can call for a different pillow off the pillow menu, no kidding. I didn't. The room was toasty warm. Bed linens nice. We stayed mid-week, the hotel was quiet so we got a good nights sleep. Location was good, a few blocks from Christmas Tree and Saks. Several restuarants within a few blocks on 3rd.

The hotel room was very nice, large, and comfortable. The staff was the most friendly and helpful I have encountered in all my years of travelling. They definitely made you feel at home and well taken care of. They also had good suggestions on nearby restuarants.

48 year old world traveler mom, 2 young adult daughters including one with a physical disability, and one 60+ friend stayed in a one bedroom suite here and loved it. Suite was roomy by any standard, but the best part was the really friendly, helpful staff. From the front desk to the bellmen to the club room attendants, these were very nice people. Kitchens in the suite are small but complete, and bathroom was sufficient, but with a poorly designed sink that leaked over the edges of the counter. The suite was acceptably clean. The two queen beds in the bedroom were very comfortable, but the fold out bed in the living room couch was barely OK for our older friend. Two of us used the fitness room, and all the equipment worked and was clean. Every request we had was answered quickly and positively. We saw the staff helping others as well, with the same level of excellent service we enjoyed. There are many restaurants in the area, as well as a drug store, grocery store, ATM, and wine/liquor store. Bellmen were able to flag taxis/town cars within 5 minutes of our request. Affinia 50 has a wine/cheese reception in the club room Monday-Thursday, which was a nice touch. For travelers with a physical disability, the hotel has no stairs at the entry, and no stairs required in the lobby for elevator access, but there is a slight ramped incline. Our room next to the elevator was wheelchair accessible.

Great centeral location. Staff was very nice, so thankful for the early check in. Room was better than expected. Very neat and clean. And the bed...it was so comfy after a long day of walking! I have not slept so good in a long time! This is a very good hotel.
