Prices were a little on the high side, especially the exorbitant $25 per day valet parking fee. Staff members were friendly and responsive. Internet and breakfast are free for Gold and higher level HHonors members only. The quality of the free breakfast is about the same as that offered to everyone at the Hampton Inns.

Great hotel overall. I liked that it didn't have an open air lobby (which seems to be very common in Hawaii. The hotel was festivally decorated for the holidays with an ornate Christmas tree in the lobby. I took several photos in front of it. Also, my flight departed pretty late the day I departed and I didn't want to carry around my luggage while I shopped, so the hotel was nice enough to store our bags for like 7 hours. Now for the few downfalls. When had arrived at around 11pm on our check-in day, so we figured it would be best to just order room service. Unfortunetly, we had to wait almost an hour for our food. (Apparently it was a really busy Wednesday). Also, housekeeping do not clean our room for two days and had we not went down to talk to the lobby, our room probably would have been neglected the whole trip. The first day when they didn't clean it we just called down for new towels, and we figured they would take the hint and ensure our room was cleaned the second day.. But no. Oh well, not too big a deal. The last downfall pertains to the swimming pool. Though in comparison to other hotels, our pool was pretty big, unfortunely each time we went up there it was supppper windy. However that may simply be due to the fact that we were there in December. Overall good hotel though. Ohh also one last thing, the hotel was pretty close to waikiki beach, but still a little further than. Was depicted on the map. No big deal though, only like 2 blocks :)

This hotel was exactly what I needed for my vacation this year. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and always courteous. The room was very comfortable and well furnished. The view was exquisite!!!! I was amazed at how clean the room and hotel were. It was a very pleasurable experience. The only down side I saw with this hotel was that there was only free internet in the public areas.

I went to Hawaii for my birthday. The hotel staff was extra accomadating and friendly. The location is great, only about 2 blocks from the beach. The hotel set up all of my excursions and their recommendations turned out to be well worth it and was much cheaper than what I found on my own. I would stay here again.

They charge $25 per night for parking (valet only), so beware. I parked next door at The Banyan and they charged $12 per 24-hour period (much better). Try to get a mountain facing room because Kuhio Avenue is very loud outside your window. If you prefer ocean view then get a room on a very high floor; which will probably cost a lot more. Don't expect a tropical paradise at this hotel, it's in the middle of congested city. Be sure to rent a car and check out the rest of the island. The local city bus will also take you all around the island so hold on to you transfer tickets that the drivers give you. The rooms aren't very big, in fact they're quite small. The restaurant. MAC 24/7, is very expensive. The cheapest breakfast is around $16 but it's only giant pancakes with no sides. "Eggs N Things" down the street is a little cheaper and much better. The hotel is in the heart of Waikiki but a couple of blocks walk to the beach. Overall, the hotel is not bad but not great either. Be prepared to spend A LOT of money for absolutely everything in Waikiki...and this hotel is no exception.
