The hotel was excellent. Great staff,very helfful. We enjoyed eating at the shorebird resturant. The shorebird is right on the beach. A perfect place to enjoy the sunset while sipping on a drink.

we stayed here for our honnymoon this hotel is right on the beach it was awesome the view was unbielveable .we will go back .the staff was great the resteraunts were good and priced right I was supprised for the money you cant beat this hotel . thanks for a great vacation. the hotel can make reservations for anything you want to do I cant say enough the hotel was just remodeled very nice Icant wait to go back

We have stayed at Outrigger reef several times since 1998. The last was late March through early April 2008. We were "taken" with the place the first time and every time since but the new renovations have made it uncomparable in our minds. The lobby is now spectacular--the Shore Bird remains unbeatable--New Years eve outside the hotel on Waikiki is beyond belief. I would recommend thi shotel any one and everyone. Our grandsons were treated like royalty by the staff. The rooms are no wbeautiful and th eviews spectacular. Until we can return we will get that raise in the heartbeat each time we think of Outrigger Reef. The proximatey to downtown Waikiki and Ft DeRussey park is great. I cannot say enough about how great Outrigger Reef is. Aloha until our next visit---for a vacation switch-try playing hide and seek in DeRussey Park--it was a blast

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach had recenlty completed a $150 million renovation and it showed. The rooms were absolutely gorgeous with lovely amenities, like wet bars, granite countertops, beautiful linens and comforters, etc. Very comfortable. The lobby area is open air and very expansive and tropical looking (in a tasteful way). The pool had just reopened and it is beautiful and restful. The hotel is right on the beach and convenient to everything in downtown Waikiki. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful, front desk check-in went fast and everyone was welcoming and courteous. The housekeeping staff was very good; security in the hotel was outstanding. Everywhere you went, staff would ask if ""everything was ok"" or if you needed anything. We were even able to have a ""courtesy room"" the last day since we weren't leaving until the evening and we wanted to use the beach and pool. We were able to shower and change to get ready to leave later in the day after checkout. The restaurant, The Shorebird, was in a great location right on the beach. The food was just ok but the service very friendly. I would have preferred the concierge desk to have more than one person to save time and more information about the local area. But, the hotel is very tasteful and compared to one of the hotels down the road, there is not the ""carnival"" atmosphere that some have with so many activities and airline and travel offices within the hotel. Beware the timeshare desk next to the concierge desk. Don't get the two confused.

Our hotel was even under construction and that was not a bother at all. The room was over and beyond what we expected it to be. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Our room was always clean and the bed was excellent. There was always some activity going on during the week. And the best part of this hotel the beach is at the back door of the hotel! In whole we loved this hotel...
