Cheap, but you get what you pay for

I stayed at this hotel when I just needed a place to crash for a few days, so I can say that for my purposes I suppose the hotel served. However, that being said, the room was tiny, the service was unseen so I don't know that I can rate it fairly, the tv was tiny and didn't work all that well. The room was clean and the bed was alright but I can't say anything stood out about the experience. Basically, if all you needed, absolutely all you needed, was a bed, then this place would work. If you're looking for anything else at all, I would advise to try somewhere else.

This was my 1st (and hopefully not the last:)) time in Hawaii, and I took time and research to find a hotel in a prime location with close proximity to the beach, and affordable price for a student with a tite budget. I spent a week there with comfort, and staff friendly treatment, and would definetely stay at the Maile Sky Court again. My room was on one of the toppest floors, and provided panaramic views of the whole city, mountains and the ocean! Room was cleaned and organized very neatly, and basic items to accommodate guests were provided (coffeemaker, blowdryer, etc). Lobby is simple but nice. Front desk - helpful and responsive. Walk to the beach and attractions - 5 minutes. The place is perfect for families, students, and everyone who would like to enjoy the best of Waikiki, and save:)

Had a room high up in the building with excellent view, although it wasn't towards the sea. Rooms a bit older and worn, one of the bedside lamps out of order. Staff very nice and polite. Favorable price, a lot less than on the beach.

This hotel, while spartan and rather dated, was clean, courteous, and had an excellent location. I wouldn't go there for my honeymoon, but for a simple trip it was perfect. I do, however, wish they had told me about the $8 airport shuttle before I spent $35 on a cab.
