The Ilikai, is a very nice 44 year old Hotel. In it's prime it was a five star Hotel. It is trying to bring that back, so there is alot of work being done. One, of the two pools,and the hot-tub is closed; the pool that remains open has very limted hours of operation. A plus is that the Ilikai is very close to the beach. While we were there road crews where working on Ala Moana Blvd., which the Hotel faces on one side, our side!! It was very LOUD, night and day! Alot of at the shops, at the hotet, where closed. The staff at the Hotel were great. Parking is $25.00 a day, self-park is $18.00 if you can find a parking space. Okay stay but next time we'll stay at the Hawaiian Hilton.

Not a bad hotel at all. I was pleasantly surprised. As I researched before, the rooms were actually big. The newer renovated rooms are really nice, but more pricey. So, I settled for a regular, which was also nice. I had the city view..it was okay because I'm a city boy. But there was city road construction beneath my window and around the hotel. The advantage was I was on the 2nd to the highest floor. Hotel is in a great location for average people. Not too far inside with the high rollers of Waikiki and not too far on the other end. It's about 3 to 5 min drive to Waikiki Strip. Quick access to the beaches and parks. Restaurants near by. Parking valet:$25- connectiing garage $17-park meters behind hotel--coin by hrs. Room Internet $12 a day..too much!- Local WiFi Hotspot near for free! Must keep room clean: Housekeeping only change sheets, replenish towels, and hygeine prdcts..it cost for vacuum and shwr/tub cleaning. ...Overall__Good Experience

Not a bad hotel at all. I was pleasantly surprised. As I researched before, the rooms were actually big. The newer renovated rooms are really nice, but more pricey. My wife and I had a great stay at this hotel. We saved some money by using the full in-room kitchen for a few meals. The beds were comfy, and I woke up to a view of the ocean. There was a new hotel going up next door, and it was a little annoying, but not too bad. There also was some glitch with the fire alarms and they went off at three in the morning! Overall, the hotel needs some updates, but for the price, it was a fantastic stay, and I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
