I wasn't sure at first because the hotel is a smaller brick building in a sea of high rise metal and glass. Also, the person checking us in was in training and in need of a lot of help. However, the entire staff was very nice and made sure we had everything and anything we needed. They knew a lot about the city and recomended places to see and eat as well as how to get around in the traffic! I would love to stay there again! As for the bed, I sleep on a bed made for me at home so nothing can come close, but I was able to sleep which is more than I can say for most hotel beds. The people are what made the stay best!

I came here for a quick two day vacation with my sons and the room location was terrific! Right when we arrived at the hotel, they allowed me to check in as far as I could (without actually getting into my room), stored my luggage for me and parked my car in valet. This made it super easy on me seeing how I was traveling with myself and my two younger sons. Right away we went out to the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum which are in walking distance. Later on we came back to the hotel and got right into our room. All of the staff were excellent and very considerate. The only thing that I wish they had was a continental breakfast included in with the room. This would have made my already wonderful stay, perfect. The next day we were going out for some more fun adventures and the hotel offered to keep my car in valet until we were done. This was a wonderful offer and I really appreciated it!

This hotel does not honer 3rd party reservations. I booked a non smoking room with 2 double beds. We had a total of 3 people traveling. When we arrived they informed me that my reservation was not guarenteed and gave us a smoking room with one queen bed. I tried to switch the reservation at time of check in but they were a capacity. When inquiring about this the staff was rude, they would not make eye contact and sounded like they were reading from a script. The room was located across from the fitness area (a room with a treadmill, don't let the picture on the website deceive you) which was loud as well as noise from the hallways traveled into the room. I will not be staying at a Bestwestern again.
