We stayed at the Hyatt Waikiki for our honeymoon. It was recommended by our travel agent and it exceeded our expectations. When we arrived the staff was amazing. We had an ocean front room but 2 double beds. They moved us the next morning and were extremely helpful during our move. The view was unbelievable. We woke up early due to the time difference so it was unbelievable to watchthe sunrise over the beach. The beach is across the street but the hotel offered a great view of Kalakaua Ave at night. We love to be around people so it was great to be able to walk out the door and be in the midst of everything going on. There are TONS of restaurants to choose from and great shopping. We also had the breakfast buffet every morning. I would HIGHLY recommend getting the buffet when you book your stay. It was wonderful.

From the time we checked in until we checked out, the hotel staff was very great. Hotel is beautiful and very clean. Room was big and beds were very comfortable. Valet service for our rental car was great! Would recommend this hotel to everyone. They provide beach towels and chairs for you to take to the beach, which was great! Waikiki Beach is right across the street. International Market is about one block away. Lot's of nice restaurants close by. Would definitely stay here again!

We checked in on Thursday for a 2 night stay. We had checked out of the Koolina Marriott which was beautiful. We stayed there for 5 nights due to a really good timeshare deal. The staff at the Hyatt are really friendly. The valet person and the girl at the front desk absolutely great! We got upgraded to a Deluxe ocean view room on the 23rd floor located in the Ewa tower. Once we fot into the room we headed for the balcony. All I can say is BREATHTAKING!!! Nothing but views of the beach and the horizon absolutely beautiful. The only minot complaint is the room is dated especially the bathrooms. The popcorn ceiling is definately not appealing. However we were hardly in the room any way. We rented surfboards across the street about 20 feet. At night we walked around Waikiki. Recommend the Waikiki Gun Club. Overall I loved the Hyatt!

I've stayed here several times now and the last was for 8 nights with my family in Feb. 2010. Don't expect quiet here as the building carries noise, the street is noisy from 6am and you can hear the noise up to at least the 20th floor. I asked for a quiet room and all four of us were woken from deep sleep around 6am when the buses and trucks started rumbling past and rattling our windows. This was no coincidence and it continued every morning. The walls and floors are not very sound proof so except to hear doors closing, water running and chairs scraping on the floor through the night and early morning as well. Also, although the staff is friendly and helpful I wouldn't expect top notch service either. The second floor restroom was filthy, out of toilet paper and the stall door was broken. Other issues: - the pool is tiny - the laundry is expensive, confusing and complicated to use - the lobby and the main elevators are on the second floor and the only way to get there is by escalator or by an elevator which is way in the back center of the building away from the other elevators so it's pretty inconvenient if you've got kids/babies in strollers and/or if you would prefer to not use the bell service

This Hotel has been completely remodeled and is beautifully decorated. The staff on check in ond check out were great. We wished we would have opted for a breakfast deal when we booked since the buffet is pricey. Just down the street was a great all you can eat breakfast for $7.95. Many great resturants nearby...coupons with discounts can be found on street corners out side the door! This is a great location...catching THE BUS is easy. The only real complaint I had was the waterfall in the lobby area was so loud if you opened your doors to the balcony all you heard was that.....we were on the 16th floor. They did shut it down around 8 pm. I did mention it on check out and it was explained that the noise would echo all over the place if they didnt have a buffer like that. The International market place is 1 block away...walking distance to Zoo....Aquarium..rental equipment..great location! We wont stay at this hotel again as we would rather be right ON the beach and not across the street. Hyatt itself is a great hotel!
