My husband & I went there last year for our honeymoon & we just decided about a month ago that we are going back. We just feel it is the cleanest, most beautiful, most extravagant, friendly, best spot in Waikiki HOTEL ever!!!! We love it and feel if we stayed anywhere else, we would just compare it to the Hyatt.

The experience from the moment we arrived was wonderful. The ease of booking excursions couldn,t have been easier. Upon check out, we had a late flight, we were giving a hospitality room, which allowed us to go and enjoy several more hours on the beach. If you are planning a trip definately put this hotel on your short list.

I took my daughter to Honolulu for a few days as a quick getaway for both of us. We both loved the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The staff couldn't have been more accomodating. The location was perfect for going to the beach or shopping. We took a trolley to a mall for $2 each. We had to laugh at ourselves when on the last day of our stay we discovered that the hotel provides complimentary beach chairs, beach towels, and sunscreen. Even though there were renovations going on, the hotel was very quiet. We had a lovely beachside room. I hadn't even realized until checking in that our room included breakfast. I would whole heartedly recomment this hotel for a high end experience.

This package included a Buffet Breakfast for two that was in the Diamond head Tower, overlooking the Beach area. It was luxurious as the seating was in/ and outdoor , and the selection that included fresh fruit, and omlette cheff to bacon and panckakes to miso soup for east bound travelers. This is a high quality establishment that caters to Japanese travelers, but is family friendly. The hotel boasts lovely shops, exellent service and the area is much like a Rodeo Drive of Honolulu. I had problems with my luggage lock and "engineering" came promptly to the room and opened my suitcase. We had to drive in and out from the hotel several times during our stay and the valet service was quick and courteous. The host(s) and hostess(es) at The SHOR restaurant were friendly and pleasant at each encounter.
