The Golden Nugget is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle and Bustle on the strip, but yet be close enough to still access all the fun activities on the strip. My kids absolutely LOVED the recently renovated pool area. The water-slide that goes through the shark tank was a BLAST! The down town area has all sorts of cool things to check out as well, like the Fremont street experience and the food is cheaper than on the strip! Overall we REALLY enjoyed the Golden Nugget and will definitely come back to stay here again soon! Tip: If you become a Landry's Select Club member you can get a free room upgrade!

Room we were supposed to stay in non smoking. Was a problem because the hotel wouldn't work with us for a room along the same price so has to talk to 2 managers to get situation taken care of. Which endeup being ok, but room we ended up getting was meant to be a broom closet im pretty sure. Hot and sturdy and wasabout80 degrees even with the airrunning

The room and the halls and elevators were clean and the air conditioning was controlled in-room. Always a big plus. The staff was always helpful and cordial. The pool was easily accessible and the restaurants were great! Also, the video dome is right outside. We had a very pleasant stay! The coupon book came in very handy. the grits at the buffet were excellent!

We travel to Vegas about 6 times per year and stay at least 1/2 the time at Golden Nugget. The hotel is very attractive and sits conveniently downtown vegas next to many smaller casinos which can easily be reached through the pedestrian mall on Fremont Street. In my opinion, their steakhouse Anthony & Vincent's is one of the best steakhouses in town. We have never been disappointed with the steaks or service. Top notch. If you stay downtown off the strip, the Golden Nugget is the place.

We decided to get married in Vegas and wanted a nice room to honeymoon in but didn't really want to stay on the strip. We booked a room in the Rush Tower and it was great! The bed was very comfortable and I loved the huge bathtub! Over all the room was fantastic. The one thing that I was disappointed in was the fact that the only drink I was ever served in the casino was the one that I went up to the bar to get. We spent an afternoon wagering in the sports book and no one ever came around and I also spent a few hours at a Roulette table without anyone even coming around with water or soda's. We will be sure to stay at the hotel again but we will gamble elsewhere.
