Great deal for off weekend rate. You really can't see anything going down the tube through the shark tank and the pool you land in is filled with noisy children. The overall experience was very good though. Nice staff. clean room. Getting to the strip is a fairly long walk to a bus. Would be better if transport to the strip was accessible.

the room was excellent and our stay most enjoyable. the pool area with the shark tank is wonderfull and would be great for kids. we got there early and was able to check in, but if we had not I noticed later in the day a rather long line at the front desk of people trying to get checked in.

My wife and I stayed 5 nights at the Golden Nugget (December 26th through December 30th). We had heard from friends at work that the Golden Nugget was a great value and an outstanding hotel. Our room was on the 6th floor in the Carson Tower. The room was wonderful with top shelf beds, furniture, bath, carpet etc. The staff was wonderful from the registration desk, maid service, restaurant personnel, slot technicians, bell boys, and any other personnel we came into contact with. Great location downtown and close to the bus stop for the "Deuce" to travel to the strip. All in all a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend the Golden Nugget to anyone planning a Vegas trip. William & Susan

The room was unexpectedly spacious and the view marvelous. The desk clerk was extremely hospitable and pleasant. We had arrived ahead of schedule and he permitted us access to our room ahead of normal check-in. Everything was squeeky clean and comfortable.
