The hotel is old but charming with an old-timey Vegas appeal. The hotel staff was wonderful and attentive. The valets and doormen asked for and remembered our party members by name! Who does that anymore? Dining at the Chart House was delightful if a little pricey. The pool slide through the shark-filled aquarium was certainly an experience well worth repeating.

Literality this hotel / casino is the Golden Rule - One should treat others as one would like others to treat oneself. When anyone tells me that they went to Las Vegas and they stayed at the Golden Nugget, I know they were treated right and had a great time! You will never go wrong staying at the Nugget! It has everything you would ever want in a casino plus the retrospective of how Vegas was and will always be for those wanting to go over and over again. You will know this once you get to be my age and have traveled to Las Vegas over 100 times and for more than 30 years. If you have never stayed at the Golden Nugget that tells me you are a novice Vegas traveler! The best part of the Golden Nugget is it remains to be a 4 star legendary property in Las Vegas – why not – that is what makes the Fremont Street Experience! Next trip to Las Vegas, try downtown – Fremont Street – Nugget style - instead of the Strip – it has a different charm to it that makes Las Vegas famous worldwide!
