The hotel was fine--comfortable bed and decent service. If you're a tourist who wants to stay in the heart of Times Square it's for you. If you're interested in a more personalized, boutique hotel stay and want to experience New York like a local this is definitely not the place for you.

I only gave the money/value a 4 out of 5 because, well, I'm a cheapskate and would have preferred to pay less than what I did. But, for a hotel in the middle of Times Square, a "suite" no less (living area and separate bedroom area), I feel like I got an excellent deal. I arrived super early (i.e., noon'ish) expecting to "store" my luggage until a later time when a room would be ready. Voila, they had a room ready for us. It was not the room I ordered; but it turned out better than what I ordered. The difference being, I was traveling with my daughter, and ordered the queen bed for a lower price than what was offered for 2 double beds, or a king size - but was given 2 double beds upon arrival. Score! Centrally located, easy to get to subway, Central Park, cool shopping stores, etc. NICE staff. We were on the 38th floor, so there was no street noise in the clouds. I'd stay there again and again and recommend it to anyone asking where they should stay in NYC.

Located in Time Squire, this hotel provided a very convenient base for our sixth wedding anniversary celebration to enjoy a Broadway show and see some sights. We needed at least 6 days instead of 4, because there is so much to see, and most take more time that we anticipated, so we didn't see all the things we had planned. The double decker bus tours are only worth it if you have time enough to go to the individual points of interest AFTER spending the time on the bus. Many attractions need at least a half day, and some at least full day, i.e. The Metropolitan Museum. We should have learned the bus and subway systems thoroughly so we could have taken economical transportation to specific sites, rather than the on/off bus, from which we didn't really get on and off much. The Bateaux dinner cruise was a very enjoyable highlight of our visit. Advice: stay longer and see more, rather than try to cramp too much into a short time. MoMA wasn't worth it, IMO. Wanted to go to the UN, but it was closed. Check before taking the bus!
