Loved the staff, very clean hotel, quiet between rooms, close enough to the beach and other amenities.

Older hotel that is being lovingly maintained. Elevators are quick and the staff is very friendly, with that Aloha spirit. You can be out in the crowd in Waikiki or avoid it altogether depending on your mood. Elevators are loud so ask for a room away from them.

Boy, was this a treat. We traveled from Boston. The hotel is in the center of the action in Waikiki. About a hundred yards from the beach and the Monoa Surfrider hotel. Breakfast or lunch on the Surfrider veranda is a must. There many street entertainers in the evening and lots of shops and little kiosks to see. Despite the action, we didn't hear anything in the room.

actually stayed at the Westin Moana across the street as the Kaiulani only had smoking rooms availiable, upgraded at no extra cost. The Moana is one of the oldest hotels on the beach. Everything is first class. Views, room, service. Highly recommended.
