Daughter and I in town for college visit. Suite included bed plus sofa bed. Everything was great - clean, modern, new; breakfast buffet was good. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend and I would return. Hotel is only 2 blocks from Metro. In DC everyone seems to talk about the distance of a "walk" as some big thing. The hotel wanted to shuttled us to the Metro. Walk - it's only 2 blocks. Metro is clean and safe. If you are new to DC, take it everywhere. It's great. Only issue with DC on this trip involved the Kennedy Center. It was very, very difficult to get a cab after the performance. Unbelievable.

The location of this hotel was excellent for our needs. It was an easy trip from Reagan and a quick trip downtown on the Metro. However, the best part of the hotel was the friendliness, professionalism, and efficiency of the staff members. We felt very welcome. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Location is great. Value could be better (price.) Need more computer access. Breakfast food is good, but there is not enough space set up for guests at prime time; shift 90% of lobby area to eating area from 6 to 9 a.m. Major improvement needed: this is a central location where people stay for access to DC, yet the shuttle starts running too late to get access to the Metro in time to arrive for meetings or to go to the airport. shuttle should run starting at 5 a.m. at least every 30 minutes (preferably every 15 min.) between 5 and 10 a.m., every 30 min. to Metro after that.

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend at this Residence Inn. The view is great from the higher levels, overseeing the Pentagon. There is a Metro station about two blocks away providing quick access to the city, and a shopping mall about two blocks away as well. Staff was very helpful and attentive. The only complaint I have is that the shuttle service is poor. My wife had to wait about 1 hour at the airport as the shuttle "drove by and didn't see her". Same issue on our way back to the airport. The shuttle took about 1 hour to show up. We discovered that the driver would often park the shuttle on a side street to talk on his phone. We noticed this several days, we just didn't think too much about it until we actually needed his shuttle services. Overall the hotel is good, and I would highly recommend it. I have rarely had a bad experience with Marriott brand hotels.

Our group of six women found the hotel to be in a great location for a visitor to DC.The hotel staff was so helpful for any question we may have asked concerning local transportation to finding a good resturant.The rooms were clean and the cleaning staff was great .We would stay again in a heartbeat.
