    Rooms clean, staff very helpful. Pool left a little to be desired but the jacuzzi, was nice. Locker rooms have sauna, steamroom showers. Nice gym. Located near lots of restaurants and bars. Union square is a block or two away. Lots of homeless people about, but that's SF's fault not Nikko's.

    The Hotel Nikko is located in downtown near Union Square. It is a block away from the cable cars. The hotel itself is amazing. The breakfast buffet has many delightful selections. We had an issue with our reservations and the staff did not hesitate to make all things right. We were very satisfied with the results. If you stay here try to book the Imperial Club Level. It includes continental breakfast, the breakfast buffet and a wine reception in the evening. It also includes access to the health club. The area around the hotel has many places to sample the dining in SanFran. Side Note: The Urban Safari jail and sail tour is great (city tour, alcatraz, sunset bay boat ride). Cafe Masion nice place to eat. Katayna (spelling ???) good for sushi.

    I would definitely use this hotel again. Only thing that was VERY disappointing was food. I had room service dinner and I had luch at the hotel restaurant. I just could not believe that hotel meal could be that bad. (The breakfast bufet was good but other than that, the food from that restaurant was really bad)

    good value for your money,great location near union square and china town, Bart was ok I thought the cost was a little high. $8:10 one way from SFO to union square. Muni was great value at $2:00 with an 2 to 4 hour transfer. The room was great but no refer unless you ask for it. I thought charging $10 per person per day was bad for use of the swimming pool and fitness club .
