    We stayed for five days during the early part of November 2008. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our room was fantastic, service exceptional, and dining at the hotel fabulous. The proximity of thehotel to the monuments was defintitely a plus. Although there is no other dining available in the immediate area, compared to the restaurant prices elsewhere, the dining room offered a good option and selection.

    I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Access to the metro without ever having to venture outside during the cold weather was a definite plus. The food was great. The only drawback that I had was that there wasn't really much within easy walking distance as far as places to eat. The restaurant in the hotel had very good food. There was also a coffee bar in the lobby. The room was spacious and very clean.

    Just returned from Washington D.C. and really enjoyed the trip. The hotel was very conveniently located with a METRO stop right in the hotel basement. We were also picked up right at the Hotel for the Washington at night tour which was excellant. It visited all the monuments at night and they looked awsome lit up. The Smithsonian Museum Mall was a short walk away so we were able to get a lot done in the short time we were in the city. The service in the hotel was very good and so were the meals at the restaurant, especially the buffet breakfast that we enjoyed twice. We would definately stay here again. From our room on the 15the floor we could see the Lincoln Memorial, the national Cathedral, the Smithsonian Castle, the Washington Memorial, the Capitol Building and the roof of the Libraru of Congress. I was impressed.

    The front desk personnel were unfriendly and not accommodate any of my requests. one of my big compalints was that the toilets in the hotel did not flush properly. although ...

    The front desk personnel were unfriendly and not accommodate any of my requests. One of my big compalints was that the toilets in the hotel did not flush properly. Although their engineering department looked at the issue, they were unable to fix the problem. Overall, this property did not deserve the four star rating it was given.
