    My overall experience was good, the hotel is a little old, great workout gym! I was a little disappointed at the parking arrangements, a day. Everything was extra but still a good location if you intend to visit the Smithsonian.

    Hotel is clean but room needs a face lift. Room is not exactly what you see online, so beware! Lobby staff are multilingual and friendly. The gym is very well equipped and onsite restuarant is ok. The mall (more of a shopping arcade than a mall) below the hotel is not open on weekends, and on weekdays the shops close early.

    We stayed at the LEnfant for our July 4th holiday to Washington DC. We found the hotel to be excellent, including the service, cleanliness and atmosphere. Our room was on the 12th floor with a walkout door right to the pool. The room was large and very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

    The hotel has a great location in the heart of DC to get to government and tourist sites, but that location is the most this hotel has going for it. We will not return for several reasons, the most obvious was the staff and service. Very poor service and treatment from the front desk, the bell hops, and the valet parking. Valet was downright rude, and not responsive. Worst service from bell hops I've experienced. Hotel restaurant was decent for what they offered, but was overpriced and limited as many can be. The pool was a waste, it is relatively small, not heated, and not enclosed. Many of the reviews below have basically nailed this hotel. But the service and staff have been graded too high.

    We chose this hotel primarily for access to the Metro - it was very helpful while traveling with a handicapped individual. The lobby, rooms and restaurants were all well worn and badly in need of updating (the hallways remind me of that one scene in the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World with the busy wallpaper and sconces!) . Rooms were moderately clean, beds were comfy, limited tv stations. Heed the warnings that there really aren't dining options close by. Out of desperation we went to the ""Pub"" one night and it was * for two burgers, a salad and three cokes and it wasn't that good. Pool was marginal. Something odd - the Starbuck's in the lobby would't accept a Starbuck's giftcard, said ""we don't take those here"".
