I did research before choosing this hotel for our vacation. I found out parking fees were way too much. With the subway under the hotel and all the museums and tourist attractions was within walking distance, a rental car was unneccessary. The hotel staff was excellent and very helpful on giving directions to wherever we wanted to go. We got a lot of exercise but it was well worth it. If we ever go back to DC, I'm sure we will go back to this same hotel.

I was promised a king-size bed, but got a double instead. The TV is old and the room as a whole is smaller than comparable hotels. The location is great for biz trips to federal agencies.

Hotel has easy access to Metro and the Mall area, its biggest plus. Rooms are adequate for the price point. The staff really made the difference. Restaurant loacted within Hotel is over priced, but shops and eateries are located very close that are reasonable. I would stay again with my family as Hotel and location provided a safe environment to begin our exploration of the DC area.

Usually, by the end of an eight day long stay at any hotel, you are chomping at the bit to get out of there. Not so much in this case. The Hotel Suite was nicely appointed and roomy with a good view of the Washington Memorial, Capitol Building and the Smithsonian Castle. Any request we made of the staff was met by a friendly smile and immediate compliance. Thought this is not a five-star hotel, you more than get your money's worth with any stay here. The location is perfectly situated to take in the entire District by either Metro, bus or taxi and the length of the entire mall is easily within any healthy persons walking distance.
