We LOVED this hotel. The location was superb and the staff was very helpful. The ONLY thing that was a bit problematic is it was difficult to find coming off of the Metro. I lived in DC for years and know the city and the Metro well, but coming off the L'Enfant Plaza side, you walk around kind of lost....there are hotel signs but they are not obvious. Maybe we were just tired. But once we got there, it was nothing but a wonderful place. LOVED it and WILL stay there again in December when I return for business. Wished that wireless in the room was free :(

This hotel has the easiest ac- cess to the Metro, museums, and the national mall. It was quiet, comfortable, and the AC actually worked, unlike a hotel similarly rated and priced where I had also stayed. There were far more room amenities than I had expected. To top it off, I lucked out with a view of the Washington monument!

We stayed for four nights. The room was old which would have been fine if it had been clean. It was passable but not spotless. I was happy to leave. The only thing going for it was the location. The staff was not very helpful when they "accidentlally" put a huge hold on our credit card after they told us that they would just hold $50.00 per day. Do not eat the breakfast. What a waste. And they have the nerve to charge over $20.00 per person for it.

The best part was that this hotel is close to everything. We were in walking distance of all the sites in dc. The area around the hotel was safe. The hotel resturant was fantastic but a little pricey. However, not anything more than any other place in DC. The only complaint was parking. I just paid the 40 dollars a day for vallet and problem was solved. You cant really find any other options in DC especially that close to everything. I think it was 30 dollars a night if you are able to find the parking garage on your own. Good luck with that. The hotel is a bit old and you could tell looking in the showers. It was still very clean and the furniture and beds were nice. The hotel staff were as nice and helpful as any five star hotel I have stayed at.
