The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are a little outdated, but cute and clean. The Smithsonian Museum, Washington Monument, The Capital and many more are within walking distance! Will definately use and recommend this hotel again!

Dirty, Unfriendly, Rude!
01/01/2012The only good thing about this hotel is the location. the staff were unfriendly and rude and the rooms were dirty.

Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent restaurants on site. Best of all, having the Metro station in the basement made it very easty to go anywhere, and kept this Florida boy out of the cold! Starbucks in the lobby opens at 6:30, and they served a very good breakfast sandwich.

Two middle aged women who are museum junkies found this hotel to be just about perfect. The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was a thrill to step out on our balcony and see the Washington Monument to one side and the Capital Rotunda on the other.The staff was very helpful planning routes and suggesting places to see we hadn't considered. What was lacking was a good explanation of the subway located beneath the building and the shops/restaurants that were also there. We didn't discover them until our visit was almost over. The "store" located in the hotel lobby was a rip-off and after one purchase.

Metro from the airport to hotel - very convenient location!!! Hotel was very well maintained, clean and I found the staff to be very pleasant. I asked for directions and suggestions on where to eat and I was always promptly waited on and my questions were answered with good directions given. The location was prime with mere steps to the tour bus stop, the Metro and walking distance to many sites. The price was excellent, we could not have asked for a better hotel given the price and location. Granted, its not a luxury hotel and is probably not the newest hotel in washington but I would reccomend to anyone who wants clean, affordable and location driven accomodations. Also, there is a restaurant onsite!!!
