Hotel was some what disappointing. First room we got the tub had water sipping under it from the side. It felt like you were surfing when you took a shower. Water sipped from under tub into bathroom and flooded it. Second room had a leak in the ceiling. Everytime someone flushed or took a shower above us. It leaked into our room.

If you are visitihng DC for vacation and your agenda includes the museums, monuments, and you plan to use public transportation (which in my opinion is very smart!), the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel is a great place to stay. We spent five days there and were able to walk to most of the attractions. The Metrorail (subway) is very easy, cheap, clean and safe. There is a station on the bottom floor of the hotel which connects to four lines. Our room was a double on the 14th floor, with a downtown view.There was maintenance work going on at the hotel. Just request a room out of the work zone. Also, the check in time is listed as 3pm. It was 4:30 when our room was ready. The hotel staff was polite and helpful. They stored our luggage and we walked to the Smithsonian while waiting on our room. Our room was cleaned and stocked with fresh towels, toiletries and coffee early each morning. The air conditioner kept us nice and cool and the beds were VERY comfy! We will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel, great location for seeing the D.C. sites! Subway station underneath hotel was an awesome convenience. If you will be visiting The Mall and all of it's monuments etc. you will be walking A LOT and having the subway station underneath your feet is real nice as it saves you from additional walking to and from a metro station. Hotel itself was nice and clean. I would absolutely recommend.

The hotel was in a great location. Easy access to the Metro. Would have liked more dinning options w/in walking distance or maybe a listing of family centered dinning. But the hotel was nice. Beds were too soft for our taste but the room was clean and the staff was very nice at all times. Fans would be a suggesstion for use by guest. More TV stations to view, but all in all very nice. OH, and a really nice feature was the access to account balance from room and check out option from room. A+ on this.
