Overcrowded lobby, long lines at the reception desk, room service that cuts off at midnight, threadbare rooms with ill-stocked bathrooms and outdated showers, merciless charges for Internet, and the audacity to charge $* a night. It's a shame but this 1970s relic, wonderfully positioned on the Metro and minutes by train to the airport, has little to offer over a good Holiday Inn.

The overall stay was great. Both myself and my parents found the rooms clean, service was great -- especially room service! The only criticism was that the info provided by the concierge was very iffy ...sometimes they were very informative and helpful, but on other occassions, they gave poor directions or had no help to offer. My suggestion? Book the hotel by all means, but take your own maps/brochures! Pool was also dirty.

The hotel was okay. When you walk in the lobby, you think you are in a much nicer hotel then the actual rooms reflect. The breakfast buffet in the hotel resturant was very expensive and not worth the price they charge. Our room was okay but it was in dire need of remodeling. Having the subway station connected to the hotel was very convienent, but there are literally no resturants to go to the evening in the area unless you take the subway to a different part of Washington.

We stayed in this hotel Labor Day weekend. Although the hotel was nice, and it was a good location, the staff was horrible. No one working at the hotel ever greeted us or even smiled at us. They all had horrible attitudes and often stayed on the phone talking to friends while we were trying to talk to them. We felt like they also changed the price on drinks at the bar based on how much they thought we'd spend. We tried to order Miller Lite 3 times, and got a different price every time. If you don't care about service, than it is a good location. I don't think the price is right for the hotel. Even when I complained, I was ignored.

This is a very tired property. We found the rooms dirty and worn. Stained carpet, chipped tile, torn draperies, broken room safe, not to mention the exterior construction going on right outside our window. We were never informed that this would be going on during our stay. Workers commonly took their ""break"" sitting right outside our window with all sorts of loud conversation. The pool was not heated and very cold and very dirty. The staff was unfriendly and not at all helpful to me in my questions and concerns. Truly the only thing this hotel has going for it is location, and I wouldnt let that influence my decision to stay there.
