Our hotel room was fine. I was under the impression that we had booked 2 queen beds and we arrived and discovered we had 2 full sized beds. Great except there were 3 of us and my 17 year old son in 6-3. Tried it the first night, NO WAY. So at 0700 on day 2 of our trip I requested a room change to anywhere that had 2 queens. No problem (for $140/ extra a night). The hotel staff was very nice and supplied a trundle so we all had our own bed. Now down to the review, this place is about 1 block away from the Honolulu Zoo and right on the water. We went to bed every night listening to the bar band from the hotel next door and we woke up every morning to the sound of the trash truck banging dumpsters upside down then, BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP as they backed out and when to the neighboring hotel. Lots of young men and women meandering through the streets at all hours. If you are 22 years old and planning on staying out every night until 0300 or later then remaining in a drunken coma until noon or so then this place is the one for you.

My husband and I were in Hawaii for our honeymoon. We arrived in Hawaii after a 12hour flight at 9am, far earlier than check-in time. The hotel had a "Hospitality Room" for us to shower and change clothes, which was so needed and we were so thankful for. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff accommodating. The atrium was open-aired so you get the whole feel-good Hawaiian atmosphere going on. There were aproximately 5 restaurants in the hotel which were all a little pricey but VERY TASTEY (except the Italian restaurant, they need a little work). The bed was so comfortable and so soft. Guaranteed a good night's rest. Also, we enjoyed the movies on Demand in our room after a day of sight-seeing. And our view from our balcony was breathtaking. I loved that the hotel was directly across the street from the beautiful beach and in the center of other great restaurants which are more in the average/normal price range and several shopping plazas. There is so much to see and do in that area, the hotel is perfectly located. The only drawback is that if you rent a car the parking is $30 a day (and you park the car yourself), I would recommend spending the extra $5 ($35 a day) for the valet parking. It is definitely worth the small extra expense. Trust me. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and I would definitely stay here again. I loved the experience at the hotel and in Hawaii.

A week isn't enough. We loved the food the location & the helpful staff. Anytime day or night they were frindly & helpful. Loved the view & the morning coffee on our lanai. We hope to be back soon...and stay longer!!

We knew we'd made the right choice the moment we entered the beautiful lobby. Our family was ensconced in Hawaiian tradition, hospitality and elegance. The spectacular views and luxuriously appointed room delighted us. The concierge's recommendations were immensely helpful and right on the money. Within easy walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping and public transport; it was a joy to return back every night after spending another day in paradise. It's the kind of feeling you long for when dreaming about a vacation.

Excellent place to stay and in close proximity to the beach with a beautiful open lobby. Rooms were nice and clean with a good view of Diamond Head and the ocean. The only negative was they were initially over booked. Staff did a nice job of working through the issue and we ended up with a better room with a partial ocean view. The staff was very friendly and did a great job of taking care of all our needs. The last day after we checked out they let us use a hospitality room to shower and clean up after we went surfing/swimming prior to our departure. Great stay and would recommend to my family and friends.
