05/09/2012Only negative was first night we were next to elevators and it was very noisey. they moved us the next night but charged us a $20/nt upgrade.

great location, properly sized standard marriott rooms. Right on the strip, minutes to the beach. morning breakfast buffet is not good, parking is REALLY expensive. internet connection is expensive. everything is expensive in Hawaii. I recommend for first timers, I would probably not stay here again not because it wasn't a great hotel but in order to experience stay at the other hotels in Waikiki as well.

Our room was upgraded for free on the very first day when we checked in, which was a really nice surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room is clean. By using our room card to ride an elevator, we feel pretty safe and secure staying there. The room offers fridge and safe for free, which was convenient for us to store our important items and food whenever needed. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is in a great location (right across the street from the beach) and looks great on the inside. There are shops and restaurants located inside the hotel, but also walking distance from other shops and restaurants. Also close to the zoo. The room was great. The beds were comfortable (other than the roll out bed, but that's a given) and we had a partial ocean view, which you could see the ocean once you stepped out on the balcony. It was clean and housekeeping did a good job keeping it clean. My only issue with the room was that the bathroom has a sliding door with no lock and our particular door wouldn't close all the way (about an inch or less would stay open), but it wasn't a huge deal.

Over all the hotel and location were great. Directly across from the Waikiki Beach. There is no free internet but if you sit on the balcony you can get access. No freebies to be had here.
