After 3 trips to Vegas for my wife and I, and multiple trips for me we can now claim our favorite hotel. Unfortunately The Orleans is not the best but it is also not the worst. The restaurants are great. The all day pass to the buffet, although not advertised heavily by the hotel is the way to go when it comes to food in the hotel and Vegas if you want to save some money. The staff is alright, they are there to do their job and that is what if feels like. Nothing out of the way for service was observed by either of us. The room was basic non-smoking king with a roll into shower designed for wheelchair access. They kept it clean and that was all we needed with the exception of having no free internet access and only 6 Non-sports/news related channels on the television. No free HBO or any other movie channel (something you get at even the local drive up motel). This for us was a big deal as we didn't like spending too much time in the smoke filled casino. We were not there to gamble our savings away so we spent some time in our room. Limited TV was not the best in our situation. Moreover, with all my stays at hotels, this was the first that charged my card a $100.00 "damage deposit" upon check in. Usually they take an imprint of my card for room charges, movies etc. but never a damage deposit. I started to worry that I would have to pay for the wall paper that was peeling in the bathroom. So if we have a choice we will be staying at our favorite hotel in the future (The Cosmopolitan) because it is by far the nicest we/I have experienced in our trips to Vegas.

  • The hotel was clean and welcoming.

This hotel is genius..let's put good food combined with a great atmospehere and throw in nice rooms...the rooms are big and spacious and the views of the strip from the window is great...I was surprised at how well this hotel satisfies, from the sports book to the 1.50 hotdogs...to the fuddruckers..and they make a great bloody Mary...I overall had a great time and will be coming back...the other thing is it was easy to get everywhere by taxi leaving the Orleans because of the easy access to back streets...

  • Hotel staff was excellent. Great experience.

On my last trip I stayed at the Bellagio. The Orleans is not in that category but I must Admit that The Orleans is a pleasant surprise and outstanding for the money. The staff in the gambling area were great. I go to Vegas a couple of times a year and have never stayed at The Orleans. I mostly gamble in the Sportsbook and at the craps tables. Everyone in their Sportsbook were outstanding, everyone. I enjoyed their Sportsbook better than any casino that I have been in, only because of the people. I am currently booking a trip and staying at the Venecian but will go back to The Orleans just because of the employees in Sportsbook. Craps tables are ok. Employees there are fine but seem preoccupied.

  • I was very impressed with the daily care of the room.
