07/26/2012Stay here nearly every time we visit s.f. elegant, beautiful rooms. fine service. the views from the top of the mark at breakfast are unbeatable. wonderful buffet.
STAY HERE NEARLY EVERY TIME WE VISIT S.F. ELEGANT, BEAUTIFUL ROOMS. FINE SERVICE. THE VIEWS FROM THE TOP OF THE MARK AT BREAKFAST ARE UNBEATABLE. WONDERFUL BUFFET.

Our view from our room was incredible. The staff in all the hotel were always there for all our needs. We were close to every place that we wanted to go to. Grace Cathedral had always been my favorite in the city and to view it for several days thru our window was amazing. I was very blessed to be able to stay in the Mark Hopkins for my vacation.

The hotel was very nice, the staff was very polite and went out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are good size, only complaint was water pressure was really weak, but the huge bathrooms made up for it. You can take the trolley from right outside the front and alot of the sites are within walking distance. A very nice hotel indeed, we will stay there again.

Overall a good stay. Not enough bell staff for busy times of the day. We had trouble obtaining our bags we had checked - we had to retrieve them outselves by recognition. Nice staff. We left two items - one was located (a cheap watch) - the other wat not (an expensive camera) - so unsure about that - so don't leave anything. should provide free internet at this hotel.
