I went to Hawaii with my husband and our two daughters (ages 14 and 11) for spring break. We had a great time, and loved the Hilton Hawaiin Village! It was very touristy, but we rented a car and went to the north shore and on several road trips. The resort had awesome beach access and pools, and the lagoon was an added bonus. The only real negative was that we spent a lot of money for our vacation, and then got charged for everything and anything--except the pool towels. And everything was expensive. That said, I'd recommend it--esp if you've never been to Hawaii.

Hilton Village is 5 hotel that share shopping, dinning, and some pools. The beach and lagoon are public access. Each hotel has its own pool and or hot tube. Pools are average, but everything else is good. Staff and locals are AWESOME. Very friendly but in no hurry. Waikiki is only about 1mile by 2miles but is directly connected to Honolulu. I recommend renting a car and travel the island. North Shore, Sunset Beach, Turtle Beach and the other beaches on the east side are better and some are less populated. If I was to return to Ohau I would stay here again.

We've stayed at the property in the past and the traffic in the Tapa tower (lobby area and elevators) is always busy whereas the Kalia tower was much quieter. Enjoyed the pool, spa and exercise room being in our tower also. We rarely left the property during our stay and watched the fireworks with a full beach full of spectators! Great Show.

Truly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Very beautiful, clean and wonderful staff. Great place to go if you have children,since there are various pools and of course the penguins. The fireworks on the beach were amazing. Found restaurants to be expensive so we ate outside the village and also purchased food at the ABC store inside the village.

Beautiful hotel but very large property. Lots of walking!!!! We stayed in the kalia tower. Modern and nice. Comfy bed and great place for kids. The lagoon is my favorite. Man made beach.. There was a fee for ANY beach activity or chair or umbrella. So just be prepared to pay for it all. But it was all fun at the end of the day.... Skip the buffet for breakfast. It's pricey and not worth the long lines. Tropics on the beach has great food. All in all it's a fun hotel and perfect for families. Oh and the couples massage at the spa
