I just spent $* on the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Five out of the 6 nights we stayed in this hotel - all of the hotel workers were on STRIKE. The hotel provided NO services: no room service, NO CLEANING SERVICE DAILY, none of the onsite restaurants were open - making this location incredibly INCONVENIENT, NO Bell Service, NO Front Desk Staff, NO drink service at the pools and worst of ALL NO offer from the Hilton to compensate us for the worst vacation we've ever had - even when we spoke to top management at the hotel! Out of $* BOOK RATE we spent on 6 nights - the Public Relations Director credited us ONLY $*! Did I mention our room had ROACHES??? Terrible - we had to sleep with the lights on so roaches would stay away. The strikers woke us and all the other guests up at 5am with chants, megaphones, drums and sirens - it will be very disappointing overall. This is like no other Hilton experience I've ever had. Hilton should be ashamed of the way management & corporate are treating customers for enduring the displeasure of the Hilton strike. I feel like I was just slapped in the face by Hilton Management as I personally just paid TOP DOLLAR for horrible service with NO SINCERE APOLOGY or communication from Hilton. After complaining for 4 days - we were offered a maximum refund of $*. This is a fraction of 1 of the 6 sleepless nights we spent here! Shame on Hilton for not taking care of customers. I will NEVER stay in a Hilton again. Very disappointing and just a sub-par visit to Hawaii. NO THANK YOU Hilton. YUCK!

Would not stay again or recommend this hotel. This was suppposed to be a relaxing family vacation for 2 adults and 1 child, but turned into a nightmare. By night two we were ready for the vacation to be over. We stayed in an "ocean view" room in the Rainbow Tower, and it definately was NOT worth the money. The room was old and worn down. The bathroom was EXTREMELY dated, and there was mildew around the shower and floor. Not to mention, there was dust every where, the grout was disgusting, and the bathroom had rust all over. The beach was clean enough, though smokers were everywhere. The pools were not too crowed, and there were nice shops. The resort was entirely too crowed, however, and if you are into fitness, there isn't much to eat at all. As well, the gym is ok for cardio, but doesn't have anything for weightlifting; the free weights only go up to 50 lbs. As well, as expected, everything is very overpriced ($* for a sippy apple juice, $* for a turkey sandwich..) There was a nice luau on site, and the people were all very friendly. If you do stay, I would recommend taking "The Bus". The fee is only $* for adults, and it really is a pleasant ride. As well, if you take Robert's Shuttle from the Airport, you'll save money and they drop off and pick up at your hotel. Be careful of "Charley's Taxi", the fees are pretty outrageous, though they do provide car seats and booster seat.! Tips: Get to Starbucks as soon as they open, lines build early Get to Rainbow Buffet early..very good food, very good variety, expensive, lines/waits form early Run outside around the lagoon in the morning; peaceful w/ track

We stayed a week at the Hilton Hawaiin Village and it was amazing. The people that work there were all very nice and accomodating. The resort was beautiful and our view was fantastic. Although the rooms in the Rainbow tower could use an update, who goe to Hawaii to spend time in their room? The only complaint would be the price of food etc. We ate most of our meals off-property.

Crazy busy from the moment you arrive...pure organized chaos. Pool areas are packed like sardines. Beach is dirty. Diamond head towers are old & dirty. No slippers or robes unless asked. Carpet & sofas literally look 30+ years old, pretty gross. One night they turned off the hot water at 10pm without any notice...ridiculous. Hotel did comp our night when water was shut off. Penguins were cute. Otherwise...never again. Money better spent elsewhere.

This was an awesome hotel for me and my family to stay in. It had everything near by. Alot of shops, and places to eat. The hotel it's self was clean, and well maintained. We had a ocean view in the Rainbow Tower, and the view was to die for! Woke up to the sunshine, and got to watch the sunset. The pools were a hit for my son, he loved the water. It's right off the beach so we didn't have to pack much, for a day at the beach. We also took advantage of the Atlantis Submarine Tour, and my 6 year old son just loved that. The pier was right off the hotel, so when it was time to check in with them, it's just a few steps away. They have a Luau right on site too, and had a few live bands at night. Just awesome, it sure made our Summer Vacation for 2010! I will come back again in a year or two. Over all their staff was very helpful, and pleasant. Even if you have a late flight to catch, they keep your luggage over at the Bell Service. Our checkin time wasn't until 6pm, so that really came in handy. They also have hospitality rooms you can purchase if you do have a late flight to catch. Of course we didn't get any, we just took a walk down to the Ala Moana Mall just a couple blocks away, and spent the rest of our day looking around, and doing last minute shopping. It was a fun experience, and do plan to stay there, and do it again!
