We rented surfboards for the week and surfed everyday at Kaisers in from of the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Very friendly group out in the water. Easy walk to the main Waikiki beach area. The rooms were great and the people were friendly. The pool with the water slides could have been bigger. Great vacation spot!

Overall, my husband and I were very pleased with our experience at Hilton Hawaiian Village. Pros: expansive beachfront property with stores & restaurants not associated with Hilton (i.e., less expensive options), huge beach at your feet, at the end of Waikiki beach so it's quiet yet an easy walk to the hustle and bustle, the front desk and activities desks offered great service. Cons: luau is not worth the $100/person price tag, Hilton restaurants are expensive (go to Wailana diner across the street for tasty & reasonable meals), waitstaff was sometimes iffy. We were seated at Tropics then never approached by a server. After 10 minutes, I went to the bar to get drinks. When I let the manager know, he apologized (no comps on our drinks offered) and asked a server to take care of us, but he never stopped to check on us. However we had superb service at Bali. Finally, double check your room bill - a credit card that wasn't ours was going to be charged. Sounds good but karma would have had our card paying for someone else I'm sure!

Rooms were nice, we were upgrated at check-in to the royal tower. Not enough casual eating spots and upon arrival we waited over 40 minutes to be checked-in. It was labor day weekend, so I'm not sure if that is why we waited so long.

After several months of searching for hotels to stay at in Hawaii I settled on the Hilton Hawaiian Village. My wife and I had our doubts, with it being our honeymoon, we worried about dealing with rowdy children, but this was no problem. Yes it was busy, being a popular hotel, but it was still extremely relaxing. The proximity to the main shopping strip in Honolulu, restaurants, car rentals. The staff was extremely helpful. We participated in activities all over the Island, but on days when we did not feel like doing much, the resort offers anything you could possibly wish for right on campus. We will definitely be staying again, in fact just writing this review makes me want to go back.

The location is perfect, but the way the service is set is really for a Village, not a resort/hotel. everything is very far, the ocean is 5 min. walk, registration is 10 min. walk from where the bus drops us. Etc... while we expect all to be at our fingertips, After we found out where everything is located, it became easy, but then we had to leave... Will go there again.
