We made a reservation in June for a room at this resort. Upon arrival in September we were told that that room had been "sold out" and we were downgraded to another room type. At no time between making the reservation and arrival were we told that the room type was sold out. We were basically told that we could complain but that it would not make any difference - we were stuck. Add to that the fact that wifi did not work as advertised (stand in the parking lot if you want cell phone coverage) and you are charged $16 per day to park your own car, and it made for a poor resort experience.

We have been going to this hotel for 13 years but this year was disappointing. The staff was overworked. We heard one worker complaining to the bartender that it was his 9th day of work in a row and he was exhausted. There were never towels near the pool area and when I asked them to restock towels the front desk told me in a grumpy manner that they would get to it eventually. We never got fresh towels in our room, nor did they replenish the coffee for the coffee maker. I requested a room near my family's room and they gave me a room clear across the hotel (3 hours later). The hotel seems poorly run...so disappointing. They are cutting corners and forgetting good customer service

The room itself was excellent however as soon as we came in the door we were hassled by a timeshare employee who wouldn't take no for an answer, seemed more like a used car salesman to me. The cost to park was 16 dollars for one day and it wasn't even covered parking. Needless to say when we finally did find an open parking spot there were two feet of fresh snow on my car the next morning, what a waste of money. The check in time isn't until 4pm which is late compared to most places. The check out time is even more rediculous at 10 am. The hotel staff told us we could simply call the front desk the next morning to get a late check out, but when we did they told us all the late checkouts were taken. We just wanted to celebrate my wife's birthday but this place turned out to be more of a hassle than anything. Wish we would have stayed at Harveys or Harrahs at least the parking is covered and free there. Not worth the money if you don't want to time share. Look elsewhere.

  • This is a time share property and the feeling of not being a member was pervasiv

We had a 2 queen studio; it was a slightly upscale hotel room with a kitchenette. The one thing that was convenient was they supplied the dishes and amenities in the kitchen. The kitchen consisted of microwave and refrigerator that is a given in most hotel rooms. It was crowded and we were asked if we were "owners" constantly throughout our stay by the staff. We had a room that was the farthest from the elevator that you could get and had no view. When we mentioned that a balcony would have been nice, we were told “if you were an owner" you could get one. I know they are trying to sell time shares but I don't think I would attempt to stay at one again. The internet was not free unless you were an owner.
