Great location - bordering Chinatown, only a few blocks from Little Italy, $5 cab ride to Wall St. Remodeled rooms - small, but comfortable mattress & pillow (choice of firm or soft), flat-screen TV, free wireless, good bathroom. Only negative is that it's above the subway, and during the day you definitely hear/feel the rumble; however, posed no issue after 10pm and sleep was very sound!

A bit ambitious renaming this hotel "SoHo", since it is located on Canal/Lafayette, smack-dab in the middle of Chinatown. SoHo is just a few blocks away (totally walk-able), but just don't think you're getting the SoHo Grand or anything. Otherwise a very standard, albeit generic, chain hotel. Small room. Walls and carpet seemed a little beat up, but everything worked, the bed was pretty firm and, while hardly sparkling, it was clean enough. I would probably complain more if I'd paid market rate but since I got this room as a "secret hotel" for around $100... no complaints. Another plus: Subway is right on the corner.

The hotel is very clean, and the location is great. Have stayed in New York for business before but this place is worth going to again. Within blocks of Chinatown & Little Italy a quick walk around the area after we checked in left me wanting more. Dozens of restaurants & shops and we only went for one night for a party so we barely had time to see the area. Great map and directions from the desk, worth getting the breakfast package for a relaxed morning. My husband & I intend to return for a long weekend ASAP. Clean comfortable room, maybe a little "cosy" spacewise, slept very well, again can't wait to return. Burnt Hills, N.Y.

I want to comment on the excellent customer service that we received during our stay. Your front desk employees were extremely pleasant, very helpful and had a beautiful smile on their faces each and every time I walked up to the desk. Also, the bellmen downstairs were very pleasant, smiling and very helpful. I was very pleased with the hotel including the cleanliness of the rooms, the location, and the proximity to the subway station. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one.

I was looking for a birthday weekend getaway in New York City. I couldn't afford the Plaza, but wanted somewhere nice. OK this hotel wasnt luxurious, that would have cost $* more a night. But the room was a decent size, clean, and modern. I had a king size bed, which was comfortable. The heat and air worked great, hot water, room was spic and span. My only complaint was that the drapes did not close all the way so some light got in. I like a pitch black room to sleep. My room was right in front of the elevators, but I never heard them or loud voices. The best part was the location-2 blocks from Broadway, SoHo area. Also walking distance is Chinatown and Little Italy. The staff was super friendly-I called for a down pillow, extra blanket and conditioner. Someone came right away. Overall positive experience, not a romantic getaway, but good if you are looking for a reasonably priced room in the City!
