    When we arrived at the counter for check in we were pleasntly greated. We took care of all the financials, got our keys and went to the room. The room had an order in it, the bathromm had hair in the tub, and on the door frame, not the cleanest of places. I would not stay therre again. Guests in the next room were extremely loud aqnd carried on in the hall at 2:30 in the morning. The guest across the hall had to tell them to quiet down, no staff member in sight.

    This hotel must have been renovated recently. The rooms are very nice and the location is extremely convenient to Government Center, Fanueil Hall, Beacon Hill and the Mass General Hospital campus. There's a Whole Foods market next door, as well as a good selection of coffee shops and dining.

    Room was not ready when we arrived around 2:00, but not a problem as they put our bags away for us and we walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch. Check in was easy and rooms were clean and quite big for just two of us. We were staying from Thursday-Monday and our first overnight experience in the city. First night we had a drink in the lobby bar and bartender was quite helpful showing us a map and explaining the easiest way to walk to where we were going for the night. Night two we went to a Red Sox game and bellman explained exactly how to get to the park and even recommended places to eat before the game. Hotel was within walking distance to almost eveywhere we went, if not it is a short walk to the public transportation system or a taxi ride away. Did not eat in the hotel for any meals, but yummy bagel deli right around the corner and pizza by the slice across the street. Occasional noise from ambulance and police as you are very close to Mass General Hospital, but nothing too bad. Overal we loved the hotel, especially the location for the price.

    Staff was very helpful and courteous. Room was clean and comfortable, even though the room's shape and style is a little dated. The location was perect for us. There were a number of restaurants within walking distance and we were able to walk to the theatre district.
