The St. Francis is a classic hotel and the staff is extremely nice. When I lost my charger for my Iphone late one night, they called and found an open store where I could buy one. I love the rooms in the old part of the hotel; they are very atmospheric! However, if you tend to travel on the cheap like I do, you are likely to have a tiny room on an airshaft. It is worth it for the location and the beauty of the building. The gift shop has always had diet coke with lime which makes it tops in my book. Try to get to the top of the new tower for a fantastic view of SF.

Very classy hotel, great location, great service, great deal on the price. We've stayed at numerous hotels in this area of SF, and this is by far, our favorite. We also enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Michael Mina.

The hotel is a classic. The location is perfect. Close to shopping areas in the union square area and China Town. The rooms are clean and roomy. The beds were very comfortable. Our visit to San Francisco was very enjoyable and the St. Francis hotel played a big part in our experiance. We went back for New Years and had a wonderful time. I would definately stay at the St. Francis again.

I have been a frequent guest at the St. Francis Hotel over the years as we fly into the city every summer, and have sadely become disappointed with it's service and care. This used to be a first class hotel but it seems as if it is now under new management and the care to details and atmosphphere seem to hae diminished. I still love the hotel but when faced with making a decision as to whether or not to stay there- I have to think about it. That never used to be the case-St. Francis was always my first choice hotel.

I stay at the Westin St. Francis a few times a year. The gym is excellent, and the price for union square is exceptional. The room is small but has every amenity and is always very clean and fresh. Great Showers, Great linens. Good room service.
