No great city views but within walking distance to most everything!

Hotel is surrounded by buildings, so no views of the city from any rooms. Pool only open Memorial Day - Labor Day so we didn't have access to the roof to view the city like we had hoped to do. Parking is in deck under hotel for about $35 day with tax but worth it as we didn't drive anywhere once we arrived for the 100th Cherry Blossom Festival. A taxi ride from the WWII Memorial was only $10 as we were so tired from walking everywhere! We felt very safe in this area. Room comfortable for the time we spent there, bed was OK and noise from other rooms was noticeable. No breakfast included. Overall, would stay again since reasonably priced!

I have stayed here several times and it is often good quality for your money. The staff is friendly and on the occasions that I had a problem with my stay they worked quickly to resolve the issue. Additionally, the internet works well, which is something I cannot say about several other Hotels on the Mall. Now the down side, if you are staying on a Thursday or Friday night you do not want to be on a lower floor because the Capitol Bistro bar is quite loud. Also, if you became a member of their rewards program, they used to give you coupon for a free bottled water each day of your stay and either complementary or discounted breakfast buffet coupons as well. This is not a big deal, but the appreciation part of their rewards program was not replaced with anything and that is something that the frequent traveler remembers. Overall, I have always had a good experience with this Holiday Inn.
