Good location. One half block off Bourbon. Had heard about a lot of additional charges, but no problem here. Internet was complimentary. The deal I got gave free parking (worth about $30). Balcony was disappointing. Street side was too far away from people watching and ""garden"" side was not that great and there is not room enough for a chair. Only benefit is if you have a smoker, they could stand out there and smoke. The complimentary continental breakfast is extremely limited. This may be temporary since the restaurant was closed for remodeling. The room was large for a french quarter room and well taken care of. The bed was very comfortable with lots of good pillows. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I would stay here again as it is a very good value. It wasn'tvery hot outside when we were there, but the ac seemed to work very well.

This hotel is the greatest place to stay in New Orleans. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the check-in to the room service. After waking up with a severe cold, the warmhearted lady at the front desk even called local medical clinics for me so that I wouldn't have to make an appointment. It is people like this that make New Orleans a great city. I will always stay at the Hotel St. Marie when I'm in town. The hotel is located practically in the center of the French Quarter and is very close to all activities. It is only a block from Bourbon Street so you can get in the action at a moment's notice, but still far away enough to enjoy yourself in peace in the beautiful courtyard by the pool. The breakfast room was very refreshing early in the morning with the cool air coming in from the street. You will not find a hotel of this quality in the French Quarter with lower prices, a better location, or a friendlier staff.

I had a wonderful time. The staff was exceptional. They were friendly and caring. If I needed something, someone was always ready and willing to help. The hotel was sweet, clean and service was great. I will be back and would recommend anyone to go. FANTASTIC!
