This is an old hotel, but it is clean, the staff is attentive, and the location within a half block of Bourbon Street is awesome. We were able to walk to all of the sites we wanted to see. Noise from Bourbon Street was muted enough that we were still able to sleep. The internet connection was very slow, hotel needs to install wi fii high speed internet.

We stayed at Hotel St. Marie in July 2009 for our wedding. The hotel was quaint and beautiful and located just steps from Bourbon Street! You couldnt ask for a more perfect match. The staff was accomodating to all of our guests that attended the wedding and helped us with little details. We will be coming back in 2010 for our anniversary and staying here again! Highly recommend!

This was our first trip to New Orleans, French Quarter is not the place to stay with kids. The hotel was OK, room was comfortable and the bathrooms fairly clean though not as clean as it could be. Bathroom door was made of ventilated slats (such as used for utility closets), didn't really bother me but my daughter had issues with it plus you can imagine the conditions that can create... Continental breakfast is pitiful, when there is a fixed menu stating the details of what is provided you know you can't expect a whole lot. Still it was edible even though the croissants were obviously not fresh baked as advertised. Location of the hotel is great if you want access to the infamous Bourbon St. We learned to go around Bourbon St since we had kids and some of the stores there were raising too many questions.

Location, location, location. Within walking distance of just about everything but still quiet. Very clean room, exactly as we reserved it, no surprises. Every one was very friendly and helpful. The only thing that was lacking was the complementary breakfast but what do you want for nothing. Would definitley stay here again.

If you are looking for great beds and linens this is not the hotel for you, if you are looking for a hotel that is clean and average this would be it. The rooms area a good size, the beds are not great, the linens are average and worn. I liked the fact that the sink area was outside the bathroom, saves time when you have 2 people getting ready in the morning. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard, but there was nothing to sit on so we just used it to get fresh air in the room. The decor in the lobby is very New Orleans and nicely presented but the rooms could use a bit of an upgrade. As we are not night crawling people as such, it would have been nice to have had a better tv in the room We had moved to this hotel from another one and were accommodated on short notice which was nice but we found the staff to be extremely indifferent most of the time. The continental breakfast in the morning was not much but good enough to get me going in the morning to make it to Cafe du Monde! The courtyard and pool area was very nice to sit and sip coffee in the morning. All in all this hotel was ok but they really should consider some room upgrading and the staff could use a bit of a lesson in customer service.
