Ballys is really show its age. The carpeting is old/somewhat smelly the room we stayed at. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room but someone sneaked in a cigarette or ten so when we got in the place smelled of smoke. It was too late so we didn't made a fuss. Just cleaned up and fell asleep. The second night was better with the a/c and the fan in the bathroom on all day. The general condition of the place was clean but old. Paint was chipping off the cabinetry in the bathroom and the floor tiles were starting to crack in certain areas. We weren't really impressed. It's been a while since we stayed here. The last time our experience was quite pleasant. Not so this time. Also, they give you 3 pillows that were really hard to sleep on. Super stiff. Didn't sleep very comfortably at all the whole time we were there. Also, I don't remember the walls being so thin; kept hearing noises from outside. Not a pleasant experience overall. Don't think we'll be back.

HORRIBLE customer service at front desk

We arrived late (around midnight) on a Friday night. After getting our room keys we went up to the room. The keys didn't work - went back down, repeat, repeat. Note that this is a LOOOOONG walk each time, so now it is well over an hour later. They finally decide someone is squating in our room. They send us to another room with a security guard who lets us in. It is not the type of room we reserved. The guard called the front desk, but they refuse to change it. So now we're in the wrong room, it's about 1AM, we're STARVING since we left our house about 7 hours ago. We have no keys to the new/wrong room since our keys are to the original room and the guard let us into the new/wrong one. Front desk says they will send a bellman up with the new keys. Twenty minutes and three calls later, no bellman. He finally shows up with a key envelope - it is EMPTY. He laughs and says "that front desk is brutal" I call them again and they insist I come down to get the correct keys. When I got there, it was visible that I was about to unteeth the first person I found so they finally apologized, but offered no corrective measures. We did finally have the keys. Had to go down in morning again to finally get keys to correct room. This took almost an hour. The next three days there were fine, but we spent all of our casino time across the street at the Belagio. I do not think that I will stay at Ballys again, it would have been worth spending a little more money to stay somewhere with a better service (ANYWHERE).

We just stayed 4 days, Sunday through Thursday. We upgraded to the deluxe room. Very roomy, very clean and bright. The staff were fantastic, from the time we checked in to our check out. We used to stay downtown, but it seems that it has been discovered. Bally's is connected to Paris... Tip... Go to the Buffet at Paris... OMG... absolutely fabulous! Our trip was perfect!

We usually vacation in Las Vegas twice a year. We were in Las Vegas in September 2009. When we arrived at Bally's they were out of all non smoking rooms. We were upgraded to a suite and we were excited until we got to our room. It would have been fabulous if we were in1970 - 1980. Although a suite - it was quite dated. We can only assume that this represents all of the rooms in Bally's. We appreciate the upgrade to a suite - but we will definitely not stay there again.
