If you are one of those Vegas travelers who does not care where they sleep because they are not going to be in the room much, or are going to be too drunk to care, this might be the hotel for you. If you are a traveler who like cleanliness, and dislikes strange odors and dirty rooms, this is NOT the hotel for you. Bally's does have a FANTASTIC location on the strip, and is dirt cheap (emphasis on the dirt.) But this place has a staff that just doesn't care, no restaurant, the casino is small and staffed with rude people, and the ambiance is horrid. The tiles in the bathroom were cracked and mildewy, the trash had not been emptied and the carpets were dirty feeling. I wore shoes when I walked around and took all the covers off the bed before I got in it. I stayed here a few years ago and it was Fair - Good. Now I would say it is Fair at best, and Poor on an average day. Spend another $20 a night and go to either of the hotels down the block.

The guest accommodations were good and the rate was a good value. I usually judge hotel rooms by the amount of noise and the quality of the bed. I hate hard beds. Bally's hotel rooms are not noisy and the bed was better than average for a hotel. My only real complaint was that the lobby/casino smelled badly of cigarette smoke.
