everything was nice the location and room were perfect, don't listen to any negitive reviews about this hotel, the people are either stuck up or they thought they were getting a 5 star hotel for a 3 star price. no smoking rooms were clean and smelled fresh, would stay in this hotel again.

In terms of location, its right on the strip and pretty much close to everything. Price per night was appealing and thats why I went for it. BIG mistake. I would have rather paid $* or more per night and stayed at The Venetian or Bellagio accross. If you are in the same booking dilemma dont hesitate to book something a bit more expensive. It will be worth it. The room had partial view of the strip which wasnt bad. Hotel people were friendly from the front desk to the bell man. Still all that will never make up for the dumpster room condition. Rooms are old carpet from the 70s that stinks and is flaking. Vacuuming and whatever they do to it just makes it even worse. The air circulation is horrible; youll wake up in the morning with a bloody nose from all the dry air. The bathroom had mold and pealing wallpaper all over; old furnishings and tiles of 1970s. No bathroom ventilation whatsoever. Seriously this place is in DESPARATE need of repair/remodeling. You dread coming back to the room, thats how bad it was. To be honest, I think its a health hazard altogether, especially for individuals who might be allergic. This place might have been decent in its heyday (1970s that is) but not now. To anyone considering Ballys I suggest pay a bit more and go to a better hotel. Youll thank yourself and the people youre with will thank you. There is nothing better than a decent room and hotel to crash after a long day out. Ballys is far far from that. Dont mess up your good time in Vegas. Ill never book this place again when I come back to Vegas.

Great location. Room service takes close to one hour to respond. I expect to pay a lot of money for room service. I don't expect to wait an hour to get a cup of coffee for 13 bucks. This happened twice. The room decor was good but cleanliness was terrible. Front desk staff was impersonal, like it was a punishment to have to talk to you. Would not stay again because my expectations of a strip hotel is much higher than the treatment received. You get what you paid for and I paid too much for this hotel.

We stayed at various places on the strip and this room for the price compares favorably to others. The room was very large and comfortable with a nice work table and comfortable chairs. The room is old and as a result had a few minor flaws but were outweighed by the overall comfort and size of the room. The chain on the toilet flush handle broke but maintenance had come up to fix it almost before I had hung up the phone. Also, the shower leaked a little on to the floor and needed a little caulking. Again minor flaws fixable by routine maintenance. Overall we were very satisfied with the room.
