Even though the location was fine and the building was huge, I felt like we'd walked into a building that was far past its prime. Admittedly, we're not into casinos, so that draw wouldn't affect us like some others, but we weren't attracted to the pizza place, conveniently located in the lobby, either. The whole building seemed to smell like old cigarettes covered with some kind of perfume. Our sink wouldn't drain at ALL (and we eventually had a plumber up to fix it), the toilet took an act of Congress to flush, and room service left dishes uncollected down the hall for several days. The room was attractive, and we got a great price (deal?)but I would not recommend this hotel.

  • Nice Hotel, not too far off main strip.

This hotel is perfect for anyone attending the convention center. It is near circus circus and riviera, but not within walking distance to the main strip. There is a monorail which can take you along the strip for $5 each way. Not too child friendly, but the kids enjoyed the monorail ride and Las Vegas itself offers other things to do. It was a good value as it was less than many other hotels. Many hotels charged more when taking kids, this hotel did not.

  • Great hotel for price, location and peace of mind

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel for 5 nights. The staff at the time of checkin did exactly what I wanted. The room was great, except the carpet was little stained from all the things kids drop on the floor. The bed, location, view of the mountains and golf course behind were really great. The hotel has a lot of features like spa, good tennis court, pool which I didn't have time to use as I was in Las Vegas. The hotel operator did not know what isthe best way to get to the hotel from airport and asked me to take taxi, which costed me $23 including tips and credit card fee. Later I figured out that there is a RTC bus, #108, that comes right in front of hotel. I took that on my way back to the airport. Since I bought the 24hr pass for $6 for the RTC bus the previous day to go around Las Vegas strip and the downtown often, I could use the same ticket to get to the airport. Otherwise the one way ticket to airport by bus costs only $2, instead of $23. The hotel also has monorail which connects all major hotels in the las Vegas strip, which costs $6 one way, or $8 for all day trip. I used it for a day and figured the bus was much more cheaper and convenient. The hotel has a green feature on the telephone, which if you use it, you get a coupon for $8 for food or $10 for casino each day. That was also a great feature. Overall, I have very good sweet memories of staying in this hotel.

  • Rated as a 4 star hotel but felt like 2.5 stars

Rooms are old and had insufficient lighting especially in desk area. description indicateds "no" resort fees, but we had to pay $13.99 for wifi. $100 coupon promotions were useless.

The room at the LVH was pretty basic. The bed with down comforter was above average. The room was clean but outdated. The casino was often empty. It seems like most people stayed here for the inexpensive rooms and took the monorail to the strip. I spent most of my time at the Wynn playing poker. Its a 15min walk when cutting through the Riviera Convention center :) The restaurants in the LVH are pretty lousy. I ate at Vince Neil's. Food was lousy but appetizers were half off. I checked out the buffet but passed since comps at the Wynn are pretty easy.
