    This used to be the Las Vegas Hilton. The owners did not keep it up to Hilton standards so they pulled their name off a few years ago. Basic Hotel and Casino, more the convention hotel now. Slots have a little better odds than most of the strip. One advantage is this hotel is directly on the monorail. We booked this package in combination with a Spirit Airlines round-trip flight from Portland, Oregon. All in all it was a good value, but I would not fly Spirit Airlines again. My major complaint with Spirit Airlines is that while the flights and the flight crews are okay their all online reservation system sets a new low standard for the industry. Most hotels will not even print Spirit airline boarding passes because of problems with their website.

    Hotel is holiday inn quality but convenient to convention center. 2 main restaurants; italian has closed and steakhouse is closing. my room was clean and large but paid $20 upgrade/ ...

    Hotel is Holiday Inn quality but convenient to convention center. 2 main restaurants; Italian has closed and Steakhouse is closing. My room was clean and large but paid $20 upgrade/night. Staff helpful and friendly. Casino is empty. First night there were a couple of "Ladies of the Evening" looking for friendship (?) which you would not see in the major casinos. Convenient to Metro but too far to walk to Strip Staff is friendly but bars and restaurants empty There for convention. Bet it would be empty if no convention.

    The hotel lobby and casino floor have been updated in the last 5 years or so but the rooms have not been touched since at least the early 90's ...

    The hotel lobby and casino floor have been updated in the last 5 years or so but the rooms have not been touched since at least the early 90's or late 80's. The bed was the worse hotel bed I have slept on. The pool is very very basic and the location is only ok (its on the monorail, so that makes it somewhat convenient). Only in Vegas would this be considered a 4 star hotel, elsewhere maybe 3, maybe. Take you $ and stay at any of the chain hotels on Paradise Ave (just off the strip), where you will have a nicer room.
