Upon check in, there was dirty pizza boxes stacked in the hallway. In the room, the bed was made but there was trash on the floors in the bathroom, trash in the dresser, uneaten foot on the floor, dirty "tissues" under the bed, hair on the toilet seat and enough dust on the TV stand to grow a garden. I asked for the room to be cleaned and all they did was empty the trash cans. I complained to the hotel manager and he sent the house keeping supervisor. I pointed out the dirty issues and left to have a drink being assured it would be cleaned. upon my return, the floor still hadn't been cleaned & there was still an inch of dust. Then I steped on a straight pin left in the carpet and found a HAIR in the bed! I called again and got a different manager. She said she would "put my complaint in the comments area of my reservation so I could talk to the manager in the morning. She blew me off and defered it to someone else. I woke up with a sore throat from all the dust in the room. Then at midnight, the housekeeper ran into the wall of the hallway with dishes crashing everywhere! It was the worst night of sleep outside a combat zone. The morning manager apologized and offered me an upgrade the next time I stay at the hotel. Totally unacceptable! I'd rather stay at a fleebag hotel and pay half as much. At least then I would expect it to be dirty. The Hilton is going down hill fast. They won't be getting my business again.

Extremely large, 13 clerks registering guests. The lobby was huge, lots of seating, but not cozy. A lot of walking to get from the lobby to the 1st tower where we stayed, then much more to get to the parking garage in the center of the hotel. Down to the lobby, across to another set of elevators, up to parking lot.... $53 to self park for 24 hours. Starbucks in lobby! The room was comfortable and clean, but not luxurious by any means. Our room in the 32nd floor had an awesome view! Very expensive, have stayed at other hotels for 2/3 the money and been as comfortable.

  • Good location and friendly staff.

Walked to everything - shopping, restaurants, bars, embarcadero - we could even walk to fisherman's wharf, although some might want to take a cab.

If in San Francisco, I highly recommend anyone to stay at the Hilton. The staff is incredible. Everything is nearby. Hilton is centrally located. You have great places to shop, eat and do just about anything. I definitely will stay here again the next time I travel to San Francisco.
