    Flamingo was my go to place for many many years but its seems that the years are taking their toll on this hotel. I have seen a steady decline in the room conditions and will now begin to look for another go to place, as much as I have enjoyed staying there and the great location over the years it may be time to move on while the memories are good!

    This was my 7th trip to Vegas so I am aware of standards of Strip hotels. We were charged $28 to check-in early rather than wait the 2 hours. This makes no sense since at every other hotel on earth, if your room is ready early, you are allowed to check in. Next, we called a month in advance to ENSURE the pool/hot tub would be open during our stay. When we arrived, the pool was closed…for the season. The manager on duty had no idea why, a month earlier, the staff had promised the pool would be open. When we got to our room, there was a red stain on the floor that appeared like blood. I called housekeeping to ask for it to be cleaned (we had already unpacked and didn't want to wait in the huge line to get a new room). They never showed up. Had to go to the front desk to complain again to get it cleaned. Requested more hangers and hair dryer. Never came. Flamingo = cheap, cheesy dump with poor front desk staff and terrible customer service. Pay an extra $20 a night to stay at MGM.

    I reviewed the Flamingo a month ago and gave it low scores for cleanliness. Frankly had this second trip not been scheduled prior, I would've changed hotels. However, the cleanliness issue was considerably improved for this trip. It's older, iconic and still allows smoking everywhere. Bottom line, if you're looking for a box in the middle of Las Vegas Blvd with a view this is your place. If you're looking for oppulence, have kids with you or you're the person who will be spending a lot of time in your room.. it's not for you.

    When we checked in there's no bath soap, bath math, dirt on the wall, etc. I was there for a seminar. One of those days when I came back to the room, I asked a housekeeper that was cleaning a room across the hallway for coffee (yes! there's coffee maker in the Go Deluxe room). I had no idea she was the one that cleaned our room too. She right away told me that I was entitled only to receive 2 coffees per day. I told her there's no coffee at all and asked for cups and sugar. She realized she forgot to replace them. Then, she accused for having my computer out on the desk and that's why she forgot to replace the coffee. Told her I had no computer. Can you believe this woman? No apology. Only bad attitude and hostility toward a hotel guest. I would have reported her to management but I had a few more stays to stay there. I've traveled quite a bit, mostly overseas and never I came across a housekeeper with such a bad attitude.
