    The buffet at the hotel had bad service and the food was ugly.. carpets in hotel hallways were dirty and dingy looking.. not impressive at all..

    The Flamingo is an older hotel, and the carpeting in the room was old, worn, and very stained. However, overall the hotel room was clean, the bathroom facilities worked, and the beds were comfortable. The cleaning staff obviously spent more time in the casino and lobby areas, which were spotless, and less tiem in the halllways where the rooms are located (room service dishes were seldom picked up by the next day). The hotel is in the middle of the Strip, so very conveniently located.

    At check in they wanted to charge me an extra $28 to check in early and my friends who went to another clerk next to me were allowed to check in early at NO charge??? Took stairs down from 7th floor that were only marked stairs (Not emergency only) were dirty, broken glass, cigarette butts ect. When we arrived at the 4th floor there was no more stairs but went out the door that lead only to hallway for maintenance workers. Tried to go back to stair door only to find it locked. Tried several doors down the dirty hallways and found one that took us out on the tared Roof. There were exit signs as we walked around the roof and finally came to some steps that took us down to an alley where maintenance and kitchen staff were working. Was ready to call 911 for help! Thinking the hotel workers were not aware of this I mentioned it to the hotel desk as I checked out and the lady's response was ...."I know that happened to me before!!" Thank heaven it was during the day because I am not sure there were any lights in the hallways we were dumped into. NOT SAFE. Anyone could get in there and plant anything. Where is security here???? Then the only day we went to the pool it was loaded with young kids and heavy parting. I mentioned to the guard as we exited that this was not a SENIOR friendly pool and he said .." I know they open it up to the locals for $20 a day and they can come party". Hotel is not happy enough with all the money we pay them they want more which makes it too crowded for us to enjoy.

    Such a beautiful pool, but open only 9-3. the room was filthy. there were stains on our chairs that covered the full seats. there wer stains on the carpet ...

    Such a beautiful pool, but open only 9-3. The room was filthy. There were stains on our chairs that covered the full seats. There wer stains on the carpet in the hallway. Everytime I walked down the hallway there was food and drinks outside several rooms.I would not recommend this hotel.

    Staff was knowledgeable and elevators worked great, rarely had to wait more than 10 secs for one, up and down. I've stayed at other hotels and the wait was over 10 minutes.
