There are a lot of machines, a lot of excitement, the new Jimmy Buffet bar was great and we had a lot of choices for meals. Our room on the otherhand ruined it. The wall paper was peeling off all around us, the lamp shades were torn with tape trying to keep them together, the tile if the bathroom was all broken up and the carpet had staines everywhere. It made it very difficult to feel like the bed was clean enough to have a good nights sleep. I saw there was construction going on, but the room we had looked like it hadn't been fixed up since the place opened in 1946!

The only good thing about the Flamingo is its location, it is a small hotel that is easy to navigate and I like that it is right on the sidewalk. The other hotels are a long walk from the street. Rooms are dumpy, bathrooms are kind of trashy, but you get what you pay for. Buffet is not good. Grounds are pretty. I will stay again because of the location and that is all.

As for my first ever stay in Las Vegas, I'm glad I chose the Flamingo. It has a great location at center strip and the staff was great. Just an added bonus was the bed was extremely comfortable!

The Flamingo is in desperate need of a remodel. They assured me that one was in the plans, but with todays' economy, who knows when that will actually happen. The bathroom had black mildew, the toliet paper dispenser was broken and the top would come out of the wall each time, and it needed a paint job from top down. I requested a new room after this. The second room was bigger and marginally more nice. Finding staff that could help you was pretty hit or miss. The "Chinese" food in the food court was absolutely nasty. If you have the option, find a different hotel.
